The Nalanda-Sriwijaya Centre (NSC) Archaeology Unit at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute is pleased to announce the 2017 Archaeological Field School. Interdisciplinary training, experiential learning, and research will be conducted from 28 JULY to 16 AUGUST in Cambodia and Singapore.

Applicants are currently being sought from a diverse group of students and entry level professionals among the East Asia Summit (EAS) countries. Successful applicants are subsidized for most expenses. Please visit The NSC Archaeological Field School – ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute for further information.

Please note the application deadline is 10 MARCH 2017.

The first Field School began in 2012 with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore). It is a means to increase knowledge of the meaningful interactions connecting Asian countries.

Providing opportunities, building capacity, and enhancing practical skills are central. The intention is to also strengthen partnerships and networks during the process of experiential learning. Fieldwork, research and training are primarily conducted at Angkorian sites in Cambodia.

We are looking forward to another exciting, rewarding and successful season. Please visit our website for further information on past and current endeavours:
